The closest best I have tried earlier was Infolinks and today; I’m going to share the review of viglink, which is another Blog monetization program but with a big twist. marketing for newbies. There are much In-text advertising networks in the market, and most of them fails big-time in Payout. Before, we move ahead let me give the little background of Aff.
Now, How about if I will share one secret which will help you earn affiliate income from the site in any niche.
Viglink – Content Monetization made Easy with Affiliates:
Viglink is one of the best way to monetize your blog. Viglink works in a very different way than other blog monetization program. It converts your normal outgoing links into Affiliate links, and if users make a purchase, you earn a referral commission out of it. The best part is, you don’t need to be sign up for an individual affiliate account on all network, viglink tracking takes care of it.For example, if you have a Tech blog and you write about iPhone and iPad apps, Viglink will automatically convert those outbound links into affiliate links. Usually, you will be making nothing for such links but with viglink, you will be earning when somebody buys a paid app from the app store.
Viglink automatically monetize all outbound links and you make a handsome money out of it. I will share my Viglink income report after the review. Since, all this is done with the help of Javascript, so it’s SEO friendly, and it works with AdSense too.
In normal scenario, you are as it is linking to product page to many sites and you don’t make any money when people go and buy the product or download the product, Viglink is easy answer to monetizing such links. Also, if you are already using affiliate links on your website, it never changes them. Also, setting up Viglink is easy, and all you need to do is add a line of code in your site source and rest it will take care of everything. You can understand this better on their demo page.
When I started using Viglink, I had two major queries and concern regarding them and I contacted David Gorcey of Viglink team, who helped me and answered my questions in detail. Keep in mind, this interaction happened back in March 2012.
Question: Sometime, Viglink dashboard shows clicks but no revenue or vice-versa:
David: This is because in some cases merchants don’t report revenue until the day an item ships, rather than the day it was actually purchased. So what you are seeing is that the revenue for some transactions isn’t accruing to your account until a few days later as these items were probably back ordered. As such, even though you had already removed the tags at the beginning of February, some items users had purchased in January had not yet shipped and therefore the revenue didn’t show up in your account until later. Hopefully that makes sense but let me know if you’d like further explanation.
Question: Are Publishers accepted to all Merchants or there is some white-listed list too:
David: It is true that some merchants have a whitelist and that means that we need to add a publisher to their program manually before they will allow affiliation of clicks to them. There are only a handful of merchants we work with that have this type of set up and most are in the fashion vertical. So overall, you don’t need to be accepted to merchant programs through us except in a few cases. The main take away is that you will be covered for pretty much any merchant we have that you link to as I don’t think your content really applies to the merchants with white-lists, however, I’d be happy to look and make sure we try to add you to them if it turns out that you send clicks there.
FAQ and Pros and cons of Viglink:

I’m not going to get into more details here, as my experience with Viglink is really great and I had no issues with Payment yet. They Pay by Paypal and till now I have received all the payments in time. Talking about revenue split, they keep 25% of the commission and 75% goes into our pocket, which is still not bad considering we are making money from links, where were non monetized. Here I’m sharing some of the good and bad side of this program:
Good:
- It’s SEO Friendly
- Smart way to make money from Website
- Hassle free set up (Offers plugin too)
- Payment in time & via Paypal
- You can control how linking will happen
- More money than Intext ads
- Supports multiple platform (Blogs, Forums)
- Doesn’t violate Adsense policies
- Dashboard reporting is confusing but not a major concern
- Doesn’t work with Javascript disabled browser or Adblock extension
- You can’t see all list of Merchents
